Situated on 33 hectares (81 acres) in a gated residential community, Camino Real Acapulco Diamante is 15 km (nine mi) from central Acapulco. A two-level, open-air, marble-floor lobby frames a view of Puerto Marques Bay and features a lobby bar on the lower level. Dolphins often can be seen frolicking in the bay, and come evening, sunsets dazzle. Three pool decks spill toward a private beach.

Buildings are terraced into a steep, green hillside sloping down to a beach and massive boulders on the northeast shore of Puerto Marques Bay.
